Smart TV
The old "dumb TVs" – which can only display content from an HDTV antenna, cable or another A/V source – are on the way out. Today's connected world expects something a little smarter. With powerful processors, internet connectivity and easy-to-navigate software, the modern TV is more like a smartphone or tablet than the tube TV of yesteryear.
Smart TVs, much like smartphones and smart home devices, offer internet connectivity and support for a range of apps
A smart TV makes it easy to stream movies and shows, and fewer models offer voice control and smart home integration. This fewer model includes Samsung Smart TV & LG Smart TV which offer voice control and smart home features in their Smart TV edition. What is a smart TV? As streaming services have changed the way we watch movies and shows, TVs have changed as well, adding features and capabilities that weren't possible a decade ago, from streaming shows to responding to voice control. Most TVs today can be called smart TVs, thanks to internet connectivity and the ability to run apps, but they're not all the same.
